Richmond Theatre

The present Richmond Theater, in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, is a British Victorian performance center situated on Little Green, neighboring Richmond Green. It opened on 18 September 1899 with an exhibition of As You Like It. One of the best enduring instances of crafted by theater engineer Frank Matcham, the structure, in red block with buff earthenware, is recorded Grade II* by Historic England. John Earl, writing in 1982, depicted it as "[o]f exceptional significance as the most totally protected Matcham theater in Greater London and one of his most fulfilling insides.
